Signature Program

The 10-month Leadership Prince William Signature Program begins in September with an overnight retreat at Skyland Resort, then continues with monthly sessions from October through June. The sessions are held at locations throughout the Prince William area; each is designed to help you explore our community, increase awareness of critical issues, and connect with other community leaders. You will be poised to assume an active, leading role in your organization, in your community, and in Leadership Prince William itself.

Each of us has someone on our contact list already serving our community and would benefit greatly from this program. Be a great friend and encourage them to look into Leadership Prince William.

“LPW gave me a personal awareness that I didn’t have before. Professionally, it’s rich with opportunities to listen, learn, and grow; and reminded me that effective leadership is the composition of many well-balanced characteristics.”

– Jackie Krick,CEO of ECU Communications, Class of 2015

“Leadership Prince William peeled back the layers of my county and provided an up-close and personal look at ways in which I could jump in and make a difference.“

– Ramunda Young, Campus & Community Relations, Class of 2014

“It is extremely important to me to live in a community where the citizens and businesses have a goal of making the community better for the youth and families who reside there—LPW provides the conduit to make that happen.”

– Jason Hickman, Managing Partner at Compton & Duling, Class of 2011

“I originally thought I didn’t have the bandwidth to participate, but boy was I wrong. It has been the most invigorating experience – meeting new people, making new friends, learning to hone my leadership skills by watching other leaders, and giving me the chance to re-engage with a core belief – to help others! One of the most impactful aspects of Leadership Prince William was Emergenetics – which taught me to capitalize on others’ strengths to help them succeed and to lead others the way they want to be led. I am blessed for the opportunity to serve on the Board of Regents–an opportunity I do not take for granted–and for the opportunity to help forge the future of this great organization.”

– Douglas Shoop, Director of Operations and Maintenance, Prince William County Service Authority, Class of 2019
