With a referral sheet from a counselor or social worker in hand\, you’ll select a capsule wardrobe for a child. Every child will receive a full set of clothes\, a dental kit\, and an age-appropriate book. \nAnd let’s not forget the fun part—bring a donation of kids’ underwear or pajamas (or a $10 monetary contribution) to enjoy some refreshing wine\, beer\, and tasty snacks while connecting with your fellow alumni. SUMMARY:STEAM Fest '23
DESCRIPTION:Leadership Prince William (LPW) and Micron will host a festival to explore science\, technology\, engineering\, arts and math (or STEAM) for students in grades 3-5 at Bel Air Elementary. During the event\, students will engage with volunteers from Micron and LPW; visit experiment stations and participate in fun\, hands-on activities to help students learn STEAM disciplines the way professionals do—by doing it.  \nCommunity members who work with STEAM disciplines are invited to serve as exhibitors. \nSTEAM Fest is a project of LPW’s Signature Program Class of 2023 which includes a community service competition. Project proposals are voted on and funded by Micron which is focused on engaging young people and the community in transformative STEAM experiences. The goal of the event is to spark an interest in STEAM education and the exploration of STEAM career opportunities. \nSpecial thanks to our Program Sponsor!
